Thoughts before Bed...
Instead of black (non hispanic), white, hispanic, asian, pacific islander, applications should read "white", "non-white", and "green- enter amount:___" (as in how much green/money is in your virtual pocket/bank account?). It seems that that's what really matters in this country.

The events have really changed my life and the lives of most of those I have talked to. A shift is occurring inside of me.
The issues of race and class in America are hot, hot, hot button issues. They always have been. I am concerned that things could blow if our emotions aren't constructively channeled. God bless and protect Kanye West. He spoke what cannot be denied anymore. Bush's actions show little to no evidence that he cares about anyone or anything other than his own special interests, oil and money.
I am wading through the sea of emotions that are inside of me. Much is being revealed to us, but we have to work through the emotions to grasp it. A major shift is occurring! Please be observant. Please don't sleep/ignore this thing. Play time is over! At least it is for me! We all have a purpose and mission in life. Hibernation time is no more! We are our leaders! We are our own Jesse's and Al's and Farrakhan's and who ever else that has been appointed to speak for us. We can't delegate and abdicate our responsibility to think/speak/do for ourselves any longer. We can't wait for anybody to do and say for us any longer. All of our voices are needed. If you don't contact your elected officials after this catastrophe in our own gulf, shame on you! You gotta have 50 million-gajillion tons of lead bricks in your ass if this doesn't move you to action. Those people in New Orleans and along the gulf coast don't pay taxes to be called and treated like third world refugees in their own land. I damn sure don't. I was listening to the radio and I heard a republican from Reagans administration critizing our federal governments response to this tragedy. He stated that the United States evacuated 3 MILLION Vietcong's from South Vietnam in 3 DAYS back in the 1970's!!!!!!! Hello? It's 2005!!!
