The Associated Press has continued to refer to Americans in New Orleans displaced as a result of flooding as refugees despite public outcry that it is offensive to Americans...African-Americans. By continuing to refer to American citizens as "refugees", The Associated Press has communicated loudly and clearly sthat it does not care that many Americans... African-Americans are offended by the use of the word. Through their continual use of the word they are saying "F-you"! I get it Associated Press. I hear you loud and clear.

I will not provide links to anymore Associated Press articles or photos. Of course, my little boycott won't hurt them, but I won't help promote them when they clearly show that they don't care about what I and millions of Americans think.

"One who flees"... I guess I'm a refugee because I flee from my job every afternoon. A man or woman fleeing from abuse...Rufugees? African-Americans have spoken and the Associated Press has said I will call you what I want to call you. African-Americans have been called some things...negative things in this American society..."Nigger", "coon"...knowing that history, I'm supposed to say -"whatever you label me or members of my group...that's what we are, right? I don't think so!
