Why reference a time when Black people were slaves in this country when the issue of racial discrimination is on the table? Coincidence? I don't think so... His speech writers put worked overtime on this one.

"And that poverty has roots in a history of racial discrimination, which cut off generations from the opportunity of America. We have a duty to confront this poverty with bold action."

Mr. Bush wouldn't say things that he didn't mean, would he? Not with his approval rating at an all time low... Not when his behind is in the hot seat.

"Ye shall know them by their fruit."

We need an independent commission. Mr. Bush cannot effectively investigate himself.
